My 14-month-old figured out the star block within a day and now she keeps going back to the ladybug. The wings folding open is genius because she can just drop the cube in instead of forcing it through the hole.
My one-year-old figured out the star block fits in the star hole on maybe day three, and now she just sits there flipping the wings open and shut. The four chunky shapes are big enough that I'm not fishing them out of her mouth constantly.
The shape sorter works fine for the basics — my 14-month-old drops the cube and cylinder in easily enough — but the star block barely fits through its hole and usually ends up jammed halfway. The wings folding open is handy, though I wish the pieces were a little chunkier for small hands.
