Product Description

Piece together beauty and balance with the Hape x The Met Hokusai Great Wave Wooden Frame Puzzle, a 48-piece puzzle reimagining Under the Wave off Kanagawa (ca. 1830–32), the iconic image by Katsushika Hokusai.

Created in collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art, this puzzle invites children to complete a bold, dramatic seascape: a cresting wave with curling foam, fishing boats below, and Mount Fuji in the distance. The built-in wooden frame provides structure and helps young puzzlers complete the scene with confidence.

Perfect for ages 4 and up, this puzzle supports spatial awareness, shape recognition, and problem-solving—all while introducing children to one of the most beloved artworks in global culture. Whether used for quiet play, family time, or early learning, The Great Wave puzzle offers a beautiful and enriching screen-free activity.
